The overall direction of this update is clear: reduce repetitive grind, tighten the endgame loop, and make competitive systems more structured and fair for all players. For players preparing for global launch or returning after earlier seasons, Season 3 effectively reshapes how daily progression and high-end gearing work. New End-Game PvE Content The biggest highlight of Season 3 is the expansion of PvE content, especially in the high-difficulty dungeon ecosystem. The Hall of Illusion dungeon is the centerpiece of this update. It is an Expedition-style instance designed for endgame players, with Normal Mode requiring around Gear Score 3000+ and Hard Mode pushing up to 3500+. The dungeon is now one of the primary sources of Heroic and Unique-grade equipment, making it essential for anyone pushing competitive PvE or PvP builds. Beyond raw loot, the dungeon also introduces a long-term progression system tied to Daevanion Yustiel. When players clear Hall of Illusion, they obtain Fragment: Yustiel’s Trace, a crafting material used to build new Daevanion Yustiel stat boards. These boards provide permanent character enhancements, mainly boosting core offensive and defensive stats. This creates a steady progression layer that rewards repeated clears rather than one-time completion. Season 3 also expands Nightmare content significantly. Seven new bosses have been added across Nightmare dungeons, including high-difficulty encounters such as Tyrant Tassin. These fights are designed to challenge coordination, mechanics awareness, and group optimization, especially for mid-to-high tier guilds pushing endgame efficiency. Time-Saving Quality-of-Life Updates One of the most noticeable shifts in Season 3 is the removal and streamlining of older systems that previously slowed down daily progression. Traditional raid content has been fully removed from the daily loop. This is a major structural change aimed at reducing long, mandatory group sessions and replacing them with more flexible progression paths. Nightmare content has also been modernized with an instant completion system. Players can now purchase up to 14 server-wide instant completion tickets per week, each costing 40,000 Kinah. This allows players to skip repetitive lower-tier dungeon runs while still progressing their rewards, significantly reducing daily fatigue. Pet progression has also been improved. The experience required to advance pets has been reduced by 30 percent, making systems like Genus Insight much faster to unlock. This is especially helpful for newer or returning players trying to catch up to established accounts. Competitive and Balance Adjustments Season 3 introduces several changes that directly affect PvP structure and competitive balance. Leaderboards are no longer server-wide without separation. Instead, rankings are now divided by class. This means players compete directly against others using the same class toolkit, making rankings more meaningful and less dependent on class imbalance. The Abyss map has also been reworked in a major way. One of the most impactful changes is the removal of free flight in the middle layers. Players can now only glide in these areas, which significantly changes movement, escape options, and PvP engagement patterns. Combat in the Abyss becomes more grounded, more tactical, and less about disengaging through vertical mobility. At the same time, economic balance has been tightened. Weekly dungeon reward scaling has been heavily reduced past certain thresholds, dropping efficiency down to around 20 percent after 106 runs. This change is aimed at limiting excessive Kinah farming from alt accounts and bot-driven activity, helping stabilize the in-game economy over time. Enhanced Crafting and Progression Systems Crafting also receives a meaningful upgrade in Season 3. The maximum crafting level has been increased to 65, unlocking access to higher-tier equipment production. This includes powerful endgame gear such as Obsidian Dragon Lord–tier equipment and level 108-capable golden gear lines. Crafting is now positioned as a more viable alternative to pure dungeon grinding, especially for players focused on economic progression or solo gameplay paths. A new “recrafting” pity system has also been introduced. This system guarantees success after repeated failures, preventing extreme RNG frustration and giving players a more predictable path toward high-value upgrades. It effectively smooths out the gear progression curve and rewards persistence without relying entirely on luck. Season 3 in Aion 2 is less about adding isolated features and more about reshaping the overall structure of the game. By cutting down repetitive raid cycles, improving dungeon accessibility, and refining competitive systems, the update pushes the game toward a more modern MMO design philosophy. For endgame players, the Hall of Illusion and Nightmare expansions provide new long-term goals. For returning players, the reduced grind and improved systems make it significantly easier to re-enter progression. And for competitive players, class-based rankings and Abyss combat changes introduce a more skill-focused environment.
